Who is not familiar with the island of Langkawi? One traveler’s favorite island in the state of Kedah, Malaysia. Island in the Andaman Sea, dubbed as the “Jewel of Kedah” is capitalized in Pekan Kuah. Langkawi Island itself is a district that is geographically located in the northern tip of the Malaysian archipelago. It lies at the end of the country and separate from the main large islands may be the reason that here is free from excise duty since 1987.
