Balboa Park, The Largest National Cultural Park in San Diego

About 5 km from downtown San Diego there is an oasis frequented by the local residents. Its location is also one of the main destinations for tourists who traveled in San Diego. Balboa Park is decorated with various types of parks are covered by various types of flowers and plants. Visitors who invite their sons and daughters can also bring them to one of five picnic areas in Balboa Park. One of them named Bird Park which is facilitated by a kite-flying field or perform other activities that require a large area. Interestingly, this city park also has a zoo and is the largest zoo in San Diego. Its name is the San Diego Zoo, which has an area of 40 hectares. Sand Diego Zoo is home to 4,000 animals and 700,000 varieties of plants.

Balboa Park can also be enjoyed from the top of a miniature train that is operated by the San Diego Zoo. If you want to ride, visitors can come to the exit of the San Diego Zoo to buy tickets ($ 3). The ticket is valid all day so visitors can climb it many times. Trains will run for 3 minutes surround some garden areas.

Balboa Park also provides a place where visitors can enjoy the Japanese sushi and a cup of tea in the Tea Pavillion or eating a variety of pasta and ice cream in Galileo’s Cafe. Tea Pavillion is located not far from the Japanese Friendship Garden, while Galileo’s Cafe could be encountered in the east of the building Reuben H. Fleet Science Center.
