Not far from downtown La Jolla, there is a bay called La Jolla Cove. The beach corner sheltered by beautiful cliffs and an attractive place for recreation. La Jolla Cove is an Underwater Park area to protect marine ecosystems. So the surfing activity should not be done in this place. Visitors are prohibited from bringing supplies such as boogie boards and air mattresses. The coast guard will also give a strong warning if there are visitors who are fishing or picking up shell beach. All about marine life on the beach under the protection of conservation agencies. In Ecological Reserve, you can observe marine animals and plants protected include orange Garibaldi fish that usually appears at bay.

To arrive at the shore of the bay, visitors can access the bus San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) from Balboa Park, downtown San Diego and get off at the stop La Jolla Village Square. From there, visitors walk for 2 minutes to La Jolla Cove.

Once satisfied with the activities of swimming or snorkeling in La Jolla Cove, visitors can invite their children to spend time at the La Jolla Children’s Pool. Another tourist destination is Balboa Park to witness the historical heritage and various performances. Travelers also get to know the flora and fauna of the world at the San Diego Zoo.
